Crayons that work on windows, mirrors and paper

These Japanese crayons are made from rice bran wax, giving them an unusually smooth feel that works across multiple surfaces. Unlike regular crayons, they draw beautifully on glass and mirrors as well as paper, and wipe clean with a damp cloth when you're ready for something new.

Add water with a brush and they transform into watercolours. The 16 colours include all the essentials: white, pink, red, orange, pale orange, yellow, spring green, green, light blue, blue, navy, purple, brown, dark brown, grey, and black.

Made by Nihon Rikagaku, a Japanese company that's been creating art materials since 1937. About 70% of their workforce are people with intellectual disabilities, making this a brand with genuine social purpose behind quality products.
