This beautifully designed activity kit invites young artists to explore the joyful world of Henri Matisse, one of history's most playful and innovative artists. Through a series of engaging hands-on activities, children discover the magic of paper art whilst learning about Matisse's life and creative spirit.

The kit includes a charming concertina foldout that guides budding artists through step-by-step activities, starting with simple colour-focused exercises and building up to collaborative projects using found materials. Four kiss-cut stencil sheets and three die-cut picture pockets provide everything needed to create beautiful Matisse-inspired artwork—from growing a paper "garden" filled with bright blooms and fluttering butterflies to partnering with friends as artist assistants.

Created by acclaimed children's author Alice Harman, this is a craft kit with a difference. Rather than simply following instructions, children are encouraged to experiment, collaborate, and let their imagination flourish. Inspired by Matisse's own approach to art-making, the activities celebrate the joy of creativity whilst sharing an important message: never give up and always have fun!
